Product Detail:	This bear comes with a little card that says: My Name is “Refugee.” I got my name from another bear owned by a Jewish girl name Selma. As a child in Poland, Selma lived during the Holocaust. Her father died during World War II. Selma and her mother had to hide from people who wanted to harm them. She even had to change her name. Thankfully, there were others who protected them and helped them survive. When the war ended, she and her mother moved to England and then to the United States. Selma’s mother gave her a teddy bear. She named him “Refugee” and told the bear about all the things that happened to her. Years later, after she had become a successful doctor, she gave the bear to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Like the first “Refugee,” I would like to bring comfort and companionship to someone, too.”
